About this work area IKEA Netherlands is looking for a General Ledger Accountant! You will work in the Finance department of IKEA Netherlands in Haarlem. The Finance department is the spider in the web when it comes to receiving, processing, and delivering all kinds of financial information. The team consists of 14 direct colleagues. You will also collaborate with the Shared Service Centre in Bangalore. The company is in transformation and continuous improvement and embracement of change is of great importance in this role. You enjoy working in a changing environment, you take initiative and have the ability to adapt your ways of working rapidly.
What you'll be doing day to day As GL Accountant you will perform the following tasks:
• Take care of accounting activities such as booking of costs, sales and assets,
reconciliation of intercompany positions.
• Prepare payments.
• Prepare month-end closing and year-end closing journals, accruals, reporting.
• Prepare fiscal declarations.
• Support business users and management with accounting and controlling related
questions and analysis.
• Prepare documentation for audits and discus with auditors.
• Support in improving ways of working within Finance.
• MBO/HBO, preferable in business administration or economics.
• Minimum 0-5 years of relevant work experience in an accounting role.
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Able to work with Excel and bookkeeping software (SAP)
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Analytical abilities, accurate and paying attention to detail, able to work under
pressure in a dynamic environment, flexible.
What else is important '- The salary indication of this role is between €2800 and €3400 gross a month excluding holiday and 13th month depending on experience.
- A 13th month and 8% holiday pay. These will be paid out in December and May as standard, but you can also choose to receive them monthly.
- A collective bonus scheme. This is determined annually and amounts to a maximum of 150% of your gross monthly salary.
- 15% employee discount at all IKEA stores in the Netherlands.
