About this work area IKEA Netherlands is looking for a junior financial controller. In this role you will work in the Finance department of IKEA Netherlands in Haarlem. The Finance department is the spider in the web when it comes to receiving, processing, and delivering all kinds of financial information. The team consists of 14 direct colleagues. You will also collaborate with the Shared Service Centre in Bangalore. The company is in transformation and continuous improvement and embracement of change is of great importance in this role. You enjoy working in a changing environment, you take initiative and have the ability to adapt your ways of working rapidly.
What you'll be doing day to day As Junior Financial Controller you are responsible for the co-ordination and execution of day-to-day controlling and accounting tasks as well as providing assistance to business projects:
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly/yearly and ad hoc reporting activities for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure completeness and correctness of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounting.
- Make sure that accounting and controlling processes are in place and implement and improve ways of working.
- Support business users and management with accounting and controlling related questions and analysis.
- Support year end audits and prepare the requested documentation for auditors.
- Participate in business projects.
'- Bachelor, preferable in business administration or economics.
- Minimum 0-5 years of relevant work experience in Controlling and Finance.
- Good financial modeling skills as well as business and data analysis skills.
- Financial software (Excel, Power BI, SAP) & MS Office.
- Fluent Dutch and English.
- Analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Start as Junior Financial Controller (internally this role is called Accounting & Reporting Specialist).
- The salary indication of this role gross a year including holiday and 13th month is between €41.880, and €55.840,- depending on experience.
- A 13th month and 8% holiday pay. These will be paid out in December and May as standard, but you can also choose to receive them monthly.
- A collective bonus scheme. This is determined annually and amounts to a maximum of 150% of your gross monthly salary.
- Travel expenses for public transport are reimbursed 100%. Do you live within a radius of 5 to 20 km from the IKEA store? Then you can also opt for a lease bicycle. Are you traveling by car? Then you will receive a travel allowance up to a maximum of 200 euros per month.
- 15% employee discount at all IKEA stores in the Netherlands.
